LITAL RUBINSTEIN

The "Kilyon" video installation is comprised of three simultaneous projections that surround the viewer from all sides.The viewer witnesses three identical vantage points of a all male violent crowd goading a violent scene which is absent from the space.

Since the expected scene doesn't actually exist in the space, the goading is directed at the viewer. This act of surrounding the viewer with men materialises our point of view and emphasises our current emotions.
In this installation I try to give presence to the prevailing chaos around us. chaos that is based on fear, goading and defence.

This installation offers a reflexive observation on society's behaviour and its thought patterns that we are both a product of and a part of.
